FRIENDS

I remember the day,  when the clasp
between my Mom's hand and mine was loosen.
When tears descended down my cheeks.
It was my first school day.

I felt my hands shivering,
in the silhouette of my parents
And then, a gem beside me,
took my hand and fastened it to hers.

I stared into her smiling face,
and in the depth of her eye, I saw,
the hideousness of the tears I shed, reflected.
She taught me to smile as long as I breathed.

As time passed by, I had lots of gems.
They taught me the valuable lessons of life.
Their words were imprinted to heart.
The word called them "FRIENDS."

But now, I seize this moment of adieu,
to offer my bona fide gratitude to all.
For me, they are the colours of Rainbow.
In the absence of one, it seems incomplete.

But when all colours are spun together.
It forms the pure colour that resembles the God.
